Pakistan's weddings are a spectacle. Sequins, silk, celebration, and quietly beneath it all, one of the world's highest child marriage rates. At Hum Bridal Couture Week, UN Women and designer Ali Xeeshan didn't send another gown down the runway. They sent a school uniform embroidered with bridal motifs, worn where couture was expected. The image was jarring by design. A child dressed for a wedding she didn't choose, in clothes that should have taken her to school. It stopped a room full of fashion. Then it started a national conversation.
